By participating alongside SLAM in the Experts in Fine Art Fair, these four chambers have taken on the mission of revealing the high skills of the expert and defending the need for his presence in the art market.

Around the 40 experts offering for sale art objects selected in each of their fields, events and conferences revealed the skills and specificities of these demanding professionals, determined to put the love of the art object at the heart of the market:

Discovery stand: curiosity for the work of art

Art objects, curious objects, everyday objects that have become rare, objects that reveal a period or a fashion.

Pedagogical area: become an expert for an hour

A discovery of rare, authentic, reissued, real and fake objects. A playful approach to raise the issues facing experts, the complexity of identification or expertise.

Conferences
Twelve conferences to explore the different aspects of the expert's role by proposing an overview of this profession, which has become one of the cornerstones of the art market.

2021 GUEST OF HONOUR
The Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l’image is the result of a close partnership between the La Charente county council, the French Ministry of Culture, Angoulême city council and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which was able to create this unique public institution dedicated entirely to the "9th art" (comics).  The Cité includes a comics museum, a heritage library, a public library, a documentation centre, a renowned comic shop, an authors' residence (la Maison des Auteurs) and an Art & Essai [Art and Experimentation] cinema.
The Cité is spread over three spectacular buildings overlooking the river Charente, which flows alongside. The Cité is located at the heart of the image hub which was set up in the county. The Cité and the hub together bolster Angoulême's domestic and international reputation and confirm its status as the worldwide capital of Franco-Belgian comics
